"Our first experience in a bed and breakfast and found it delightful. The gardens with the river running though and flowers with so many humming birds was amazing. We would walk though in the mornings with a cup of coffee. Jeanetta was very helpful with any requests and a wonderful Hostess. It was a wonderful and relaxing experience. A great area to visit also!"

"A beautiful B&B with Great Breakfasts, spotlessly clean, and very comfortable accommodations. This would be a very nice place to honeymoon or a base camp for visiting the country. The staff and owners are the very best."

"Being a medical professional---dentist---I am aware of the full range of possibilities to the traveler. La Terraza is a jewel.
Two Nebraskans, Charles and Jeanetta Owens, have created the quintessential tourist oasis. Their Bed and Breakfast is not billed as a destination resort, and is not in the strictest sense, yet is "de facto."
My wife, Vicki, a university dean, and I actually changed our schedule to spend two of our six days at La Terraza lounging on our terrace, listening to the creek that curls around the property, while enjoying the fresh breezes.
The rooms would probably pass USA OSHA dental operating room standards---yes, they are that clean!
The tropical grounds surrounding the property are also extremely well manicured and gorgeous.
By the way, if this sounds like a canned commercial, it is not! Jeanetta has my phone number for anyone who would like to confirm this information with me.
I would return in a heartbeat...by the way, Charles has an excellent jazz collection, and a gorgeous pool table that he kindly lets novices win on.
In a nutshell, this B&B has the best service and cleanliness I've ever encountered.

"The guest house may also be rented for an extended period of time; we stayed for a week because B&B was full, and there were three of us. Full kitchen with appliances and cookware, very good master bathroom with shower, one other full bath. Pleasant back terrace to watch birds and the nighttime sky from. We breakfasted at the B&B, and Christina's cooking was excellent as usual. Charles and Jeanetta are hosts who make you feel very much at home. If you choose not to rent a car, you can make arrangement for Carlos to pick you up and drop you off at the airport. We'll go back, without a doubt."

"La Terraza Guest House is a wonderful jewel hidden behind a tall fieldstone wall in the cleanest city in Central America, Grecia. We felt very safe and secure. Their grounds are groomed daily and are covered with lush vegetation, plus orchids and bromeliads. They even have hummingbirds!
The ample guest rooms overlook a splashing river which we found added to the romantic ambiance of our two week stay. The rooms are large and furnished with a table, stuffed chairs, a refrigerator and microwave. The large bed was very comfortable. They even had the room stocked with snacks.
On the grounds they have a secluded Jacuzzi that will fit a family, but my favorite was their regulation slate pool table. I thoroughly enjoyed challenging Charlie, the owner, to game after game. Maybe someday he will let me win.
Every morning a feast, which they called breakfast was included. One night they treated us to a huge milkshake like drink that had the word mud and/or cow as part of the name, but it doesn't matter to me what they call it, as long as they let me have another the next time we go there!
When my rental car got a flat they fixed it for me and when it was time to leave, they ran us to the airport to catch our 06:00 flight at no charge (a service for which they normally get paid).
Jeanetta and Charlie are wonderful hosts and a couple who pour their love and integrity into their service. We were truly blessed in getting to know them in December 2004 and look forward to knowing them for many years to come.
We had a wonderfully relaxed vacation because we made the right decision to stay at La Terraza Guest House.

"March 2006. We have just returned from a 3-1/2 week trip to Costa Rica. Although we had already booked and paid for two private homes, we wanted to visit the Grecia area and absolutely visit the La Terraza B&B. It was everything and more than we had anticipated. Nestled away in a small area, no one would expect such a beautiful home. The gardens were spectacular. We arrived tired and weary, but we were welcomed with a wonderful dinner prepared by Jeanetta's cook, Christina and her housekeeper, Xinia. The next day we were to leave, but had problems with our rental car, so we stayed another day. Jeanetta and her gardener, Carlos, drove us around to see Escazu and Santa Anna. We had so much fun. We stopped at PriceClub and ate lunch at TGIFs. Breakfast was prepared on two days during our stay. It was fit for a King. We can't say enough about the caring staff and Jeanetta's hospitality. This Bed and Breakfast is truly a rare jewel.

I stayed for a week at the end of August; arrived in the afternoon to find breakfasts, both American and Tico, loads of fresh fruit! Extremely clean (saw Xinia cleaning the balcony railings one morning!) Hi speed internet + wireless access. The place is beautiful; Carlos keeps it parklike with love and care. Great bird and squirrel (they're not American squirrels!) sightings right from my balcony. Very safe and secure - left my laptop in my room daily. Jeanetta is a great hostess. I can't say enough good about the place. Stay there! You won't be sorry!
