Thermal Pools at The Springs Resort & Spa
The Springs Resort and Spa at Arenal in La Fortuna de San Carlos is the epitome of luxury in paradise. With its gorgeous hot springs, 15 outdoor pools, on-site child care and full-service spa, what more could you want in a vacation destination?
If, for some reason, you decide not to spend most of your time in the pools at The Springs Resort, you can visit one of the five restaurants or either of the two bars, work out in the state-of-the-art fitness center, enjoy the free Wi-Fi or catch up on work in the business center.
When you're ready for adventure, take the shuttle bus down to the Club Rio Outdoor Center and Nature Preserve, located just below the resort along the Arenal River. Here you can explore the river from a tube or an inflatable kayak, go rock climbing, horseback riding or mountain biking, or take a guided nature tour. Club Rio also features a wildlife sanctuary to care for rescued animals native to Costa Rica. Take a tour of the preserve to get up close and personal with these amazing animals.
While you're at The Springs Resort & Spa, don't miss out on all there is to see in the surrounding area. Local off-site tours depart regularly from the resort. The hanging bridges tour takes you into the rainforest for the hike of a lifetime. The ATV tour is louder, muddier and a whole lot of fun. The Sky Trek zip lining tour is guaranteed to get your heart pumping and give you incredible mountain and rainforest views. If you're not feeling quite that adventurous but don't want to miss out on the epic views, try the Sky Tram ride. If rappelling down a waterfall is on your bucket list, you won't want to miss the waterfall canyon rappel. For more time on the water, try the safari float by raft.
When you get back to your room, you may just want to unwind on the balcony or go for another soak in the hot mineral spring water. If you're lucky enough to have a room with a hammock on the terrace, you'll be able to take the art of relaxation to a whole new level.

"Wow what a view! It is the perfect location to enjoy all that Arenal has to offer. We loved this resort starting with the view but it has so much more. There are many thermal pools, the lost springs with a fun slide through the forest. There are also many activities nearby. I highly recommend this hotel for anybody who visits Arenal Volcano."

"The springs resort was the last leg in our two week journey and unfortunately we had a seven hour drive to get from Manuel Antonio to Arenal. Needless to say we were all very road weary when we arrived, the staff was quick to get us situated and provide a quick tour of the resort. The level of attention to the architecture was striking, no expense was spared druing construction. The rooms were gorgous and you are quick to realize every major window in the resort frames the volcano perfectly. The numerous volcanic springs were fabulous. They even have a water slide to enjoy as well. The food was good and the spa was truly grand. The staff tried very hard to ensure every expecation we had was met and every creature comfort was at hand. All and all this was a truly magnificent resort that I woul like to visit again in the future. Thank you govisitcostarica! "

"We love Costa Rica, the people, nature, small deluxe lodging. Everything about it. We love the Drake Bay area of the Osa as it is the real Costa Rica you see in National Geographics. We can not rate the travel services of this company, we did not use them, we used a company that does deluxe travel to only Costa Rica, located in CA and they are excellant. They have planned all 4 of our trips and each was different and excellant with no glitchess. We did deluxe tours with privaye English speaking guide drivers excorting us. We have also done spa tours and adventure nature tours, with some scuba diving included. Each was well planned with no problems. We highly recommend using drivers, rather than trying to figure out where to drive in Costa Rica yourself, which can be dangerous it seemed to us. Costa Rica is a wonderful place to go for young or mature and there is so much to see and do. Or do nothing and enjoy the nature around you. We have gone to 9 spa resorts and loved them all. They were all deluxe upscale properties that we would go back to again. You can write me with any questions."
