Overview
Relax at Rancho Humo's Beautiful Pool
Experience life at a relaxed pace with a vacation stay at Rancho Humo, an intimate eco-lodge on its own 2,500-acre private reserve. Located in Guanacaste on the Nicoya Peninsula, this boutique hotel was once a working cattle farm before it became an inn, making it a topical hideaway with a cultural and historical feel. The property features ten rooms and suites, some of which are in a renovated portion of the original hacienda structure.
This lodge offers amenities you would expect at a hotel many times its size; it has a lovely outdoor pool and open gazebo, an on-site restaurant which emphasizes locally grown produce, and a full bar with a relaxing open terrace. Rancho Humo also has conveniences for its guests, including daily maid service, free Wi-Fi, and complementary parking on property. The friendly staff is bilingual and eager to help you with tour arrangements and special requests to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The ten rooms are located both in the main building and an additional newer wing, and each room offers a private view of the gardens, wetlands, or fields of the reserve. The spacious rooms and suites are tastefully decorated and employ natural materials such as wooden furniture and tropical plants to reflect the setting of the lodge. Guests can stay connected with Wi-Fi access and flat-screen televisions with cable service, or they can tune into the sounds of the birds, animals, and breezes that blow through the dry forest right outside their door.
When not relaxing by the pool or in your room, you can explore the reserve and beyond to experience the richness and adventure of this region of Costa Rica. From horseback riding to boating, birding and hiking, you have plenty to do and see during your stay. At the end of your adventure, you can relax with a delicious cocktail at the bar or dine on healthy Costa Rican cuisine. Should you prefer to dine privately, room service is also available. During your stay at Rancho Humo, you can make memories of your tropical vacation that can meet or exceed your expectations.
Rancho Humo rests in a privileged setting bordering the Palo Verde National Park in the important wetlands and mangroves of the expansive Tempisque River delta in Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Standard Rooms – These three rooms feature either one king or two queen beds, tile flooring, and a small sitting area. They are located on the first floor, away from the foot traffic of the lobby and pool for a bit more privacy.

"Went to this Hacienda for the first time with my wife a couple of months ago. We love bird watching and this is by far the best place in Guanacaste to do it. We took the tour inside the hacienda and the one in the river and we saw easily thirty crocs, pretty impressive. The food was delicious and the room view is simply spectacular. Thanks for all your attention and personalized service."
