Immerse Yourself In the Restorative Banana Beach

Along the stunning shores of Santa Teresa, travelers that stay at Banana Beach quickly discover that it is much more than just a set of bungalows along the shore!

This cozy beachfront vacation spot is the complete package with a restaurant, bar, large swimming pool, a lively party scene and so much more.

The Bungalows are the Attraction

While many hotels are simply a convenient place to rest near more popular attractions, this isn’t true at Banana Beach Bungalows.

Instead, the hotel is the attraction, and many people find they don’t even need to leave the property to experience a fulfilling Costa Rica vacation on the Nicoya Peninsula of North Puntarenas. You can spend your time lounging in the sun with a cocktail in hand from the onsite bar, or head to the ocean to experience Santa Teresa’s incredible Banana Beach Surf Break.

All rooms offer easy access to the beach, and there are many local shops and grocery stores within walking distance as well!

A Wealth of Things to Do Onsite & Nearby

After a long day on the sand, be sure to dine at the Banana Beach restaurant, which serves up gourmet meals with a delicious tropical twist.

You’ll have the option to spend the evening enjoying live musical performances around a roaring bonfire or mingling with other guests. You can also hit the dance floor and watch a picturesque sunset over the beach.

Additional amenities include a soothing spa and yoga classes, as well as optional vacation packages with activities like horseback riding, canopy tours, sportfishing, scuba diving, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding.

Looking to Have a Destination Wedding?

The Banana Beach Bungalows are located in the middle of paradise!

The tropical scenery and laid back vibe makes them a popular choice for weddings on the beach. They are also a great choice for a honeymoon.

Getting to the Bungalows

The nearest international airport is Guanacaste Airport (LIR), which is 202 kilometers (125.5 miles) to the north. You can take a domestic flight to Tambor for a shorter voyage, which is 26 kilometers (16 miles) from the hotel, which has an airport shuttle and car rental desk.

If you do decide to drive, all bungalows and villas have their own designated, onsite parking spaces.

There are seven different casitas to choose from at the Banana Beach Bungalows, which are divided into bungalows and villas, plus an additional casa villa.

Rooms range in size to those more suitable for smaller, 3 person parties or parents and one child, to larger rooms with a maximum capacity of 7 guests.

Bungalows

Most rooms at the hotel are bungalow-style, though the exact layout and list of amenities included in each casita varies.

Your choices include the Lula Casita, Coral Casita, Casita Linda, Casita Reef, Casa Keshet, and the Queen & King Bed Bungalows.

Lula Casita

The Lula Casita is known as a honeymoon bungalow, and its romantic outdoor terrace facing the forest is perfect for couples.

Accommodations include a king-size canopy bed and a sofa bed, with air conditioning, a work desk, WiFi, cable TV, a kitchenette with a coffee maker and fridge, and a private bathroom.

Coral Casita

Coral Casita is one of the largest bungalows on the property, with a king bed and sofa bed in the main room plus an additional private bedroom with a queen bed.

It sleeps up to 6 people and includes a private bathroom, an outdoor kitchenette with a mini-fridge and coffee maker, air conditioning, WiFi, and a terrace.

Casita Linda

Casita Linda offers all the same amenities as Coral Casita, but sleeps up to 7 guests. It has two queen beds in the main room, and a king bed and sofa bed in the private bedroom.

Casita Reef

Casita Reef sleeps up to four people in two queen-size beds.

This tropical-styled bungalow includes a mini-fridge and coffee maker, an outdoor kitchenette, WiFi, cable TV, air conditioning, a private bathroom, and a terrace overlooking the garden.

Casa Keshet

Larger groups seeking additional privacy can stay in Casa Keshet, a house with two bedrooms, each containing a king bed, ensuite bathroom, and TV.

The home comes with a fully-furnished living room and kitchen. An additional mattress can be added upon request to accommodate up to 5 guests.

Queen & King Bed Bungalows

Three identical bungalows on the property have both a queen and king bed where four guests can stay in comfort.

These Queen & King Bed Bungalows come with a full suite of amenities like air conditioning, an outdoor kitchenette with a coffee maker and mini-fridge, a terrace, a private bathroom, WiFi, and Cable TV.

Villas

While not technically part of Banana Beach Bungalows itself, the hotel also offers accommodations at a villa that is just a short walk away.

Villa Bonita

Casa Helena, also known as Villa Bonita, has four bedrooms and plenty of space for a large group.

The villa sleeps up to 8 people with 2 king beds, 1 double bed, and 1 queen bed. This is an especially luxurious way to enjoy the beach, as it comes with its own dedicated WiFi, daily housekeeping, and even a night watchman so you can feel totally safe.

You’ll get to enjoy a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, a gazebo and yard with a private pool, a terrace, and a BBQ grill.
