"The room was just OK and we were not impressed with the beach. The bar staff was excellent. Kudos to Elias and Orlando.! There are no elevators for customer usage to the rooms. There is 1 handicapped elevator into the building. My 80 year old mother, daughter and friend got trapped in it for 25 minutes!! There was no alarm in the elevator. Thank GOD my daughter had her cell phone or they would have suffocated. The staff person Randall was rude and insensitive to the urgency of getting them out. The manager was off duty and never responded when I complained. Would never go back!" | | |

"My family traveled to Costa Rica to stay at the Flamingo Guanacaste. The hotel is beautiful, safe, and clean. We had many relatives and friends from Wisconsin stay at the same hotel for the wedding. It was a fantastic place to have a wedding. I will definitely return to the Flamingo for a vacation in the future. The beach, restaurants, hotel rooms, and the spa are very nice. "Life was beautiful and relaxing at the Flamigo Beach Resort. The pool and ocean view were just what we needed. A perfect fit for us. I loved the flora, birds and the environment.
Our stay at the Flamingo Beach hotel was welcoming and comfortable. We made many friends.
We are coming back next month and I can't wait.
If we wanted a change for dinner we enjoyed the fresh fish and/or chicken we could purchase in town.

"We recently went to the Flamingo Beach Resort over New Year's. They have the best New Year's Eve party we have ever been to, bar none. A great band, fantastic food and drink, super service and an unbelievable fireworks show! And it all takes place outdoors, under the stars, steps away from the ocean. But besides that, the resort is newly remodeled and just gorgeous...a great infinity edge pool with a swim up bar, waterfalls, a sunbathing-in-the-pool swim deck and a covered kiddie pool area. The setting is very tropical and the ocean is right there--no long walks like in other places. The beach is white sand, with gentle waves--not for surfing but great for boogie boards. It's a perfect length for walking and has beautiful sunsets. The rooms have all been redone too, with marble baths, flat screen tvs, etc.--very, very nice! It's a great family hotel, lots to do nearby as well." | | |

"We spent 7 days at the Flamingo beach resort with 43 of our family and friends for our destination wedding. We got married in the garden and had our reception in the outdoor Arenas Restaurant. I never imagined that it would be possible to make 45 guest so happy. Our entire experience was perfect beginning to end. The staff was so warm and accomodated all of our questions and paid attention to the small details that made the week so magical. The coordination was nearly seamless for the wedding from dealing with Jacqueline in San Jose from the US to being taken care of by Grettel and Juan Carlos once we arrived. The attention was personal, the rooms immaculate, and the quiet secluded location so close to Tamarindo for action was perfect. The food overall was good, breakfast and lunch were often better than dinner and the food put out for the wedding was wonderful. But there are places to eat nearby that are great if you are not in the mood for the buffet food. The best part of the entire week was the staff, which I think can make or break an experience no matter how nice the hotel. If you are looking for a quiet, comfortable setting where you can relax and feel at home, I highly recommend this hotel. The rates are reasonable for the all-inclusive but I the room-only rate is better if you plan to go out often. " | | |
