The best place to visit Neily is during the dry season (December through April), as guests can go to the city's crystal holes. These beautiful formations are found along the river of Ciudad Neily. Visitors can swim in crystal water contained in these holes. An experience like no other, as guests are allowed to swim in sparkling water with perfect temperature. Guests can also go to one of south Puntarenas' indigenous reservations. Ciudad Neily is home to some members of the Guayami people, who used to be semi-nomadic. The Guayami make beautiful handicrafts like the chacaras, or woven backpacks, nuñugas, beaded accessories, and beautiful musical instruments. Other activities guests could join in while visiting Ciudad Neily include a hiking tour of Corcovado National Park, dolphin watching or kayaking in the Golfo Dulce, hiking, and sportfishing just outside of Golfito.
